Innovative Techniques in Minimally Invasive Dentistry: A Comprehensive Review

Dr. Aryan Kapoor, Dr. Priya Mehta, Dr. Ramesh Joshi, Dr. Jessica Brooks, Dr. Anjali Shah, Dr. Thomas Collins

Year: 2024 | Conference Paper | Publisher: Scitech Conference Xplorer

Abstract:

Minimally invasive dentistry (MID) focuses on preserving as much natural tooth structure as possible. This paper reviews the advancements in techniques such as air abrasion, laser dentistry, , and micro dentistry. These innovations enable clinicians to provide high-quality treatments with reduced patient discomfort and faster recovery times. Case studies from leading dental institutions are analyzed to assess the effectiveness and outcomes of MID procedures, particularly in preventive care and early detection of dental issues. The findings suggest that MID is becoming the standard of care, benefiting both clinicians and patients with its less invasive approach.

A Review on the Impact of Smoking on Periodontal Health

Dr. Manish Gupta, Dr. Anita Desai, Dr. Mohammed Ali, Dr. Sarah White, Dr. Priya Reddy, Dr. Daniel Fischer

Year: 2024 | Conference Paper | Publisher: Scitech Conference Xplorer

Abstract:

Smoking has long been known to cause various health issues, particularly in relation to periodontal health. This paper investigates the effects of smoking on periodontal disease, exploring exploring the biochemical mechanisms behind smoking-induced tissue damage. Through a review of clinical data, the study identifies the increased risk of tooth loss, gum recession, and oral hygiene complications in smokers. The findings emphasize the importance of smoking cessation programs in improving periodontal health outcomes and reducing the risk of severe gum diseases.

The Role of Salivary Biomarkers in Early Detection of Oral Diseases

Dr. Asha Patel, Dr. Aditya Singh, Dr. Elizabeth Chen, Dr. Arun Kumar, Dr. Sofia Alvarado, Dr. Michael Lee

Year: 2024 | Conference Paper | Publisher: Scitech Conference Xplorer

Abstract:

Salivary biomarkers offer a non-invasive and promising method for early detection of oral diseases. This paper explores recent research on salivary biomarkers for diagnosing conditions like caries, periodontal disease, and oral cancer. The study examines the types of biomarkers with the highest diagnostic potential and their ability to improve detection accuracy. By reviewing various case studies, the paper suggests that salivary diagnostic tests, when combined with other diagnostic methods, can lead to more timely and accurate diagnoses, ultimately benefiting patient outcomes.

Dr. Subhash Patel, Dr. Sneha Rani, Dr. Ricardo Silva, Dr. Neha Bhagat, Dr. Charlie Harrison, Dr. Ravi Mehta

Year: 2024 | Conference Paper | Publisher: Scitech Conference Xplorer

Abstract:

Dental caries is a leading cause of tooth decay, and new technologies are being explored to prevent and treat it. This paper discusses the role of nanotechnology in combating caries, focusing focusing on nanomaterials like nanoparticles, nanocomposites, and nanosilver for their antibacterial and remineralization properties. By evaluating recent advancements, the study explores how nanotechnology can be applied in dental sealants and cavity prevention. The results suggest that nanotechnology offers a promising solution for reducing the incidence of caries and improving long-term oral health, with enhanced precision in treatment.

Enhancing Patient Compliance with Orthodontic Treatment Through Virtual Platforms

Dr. Priyanka Mehra, Dr. Vishal Kumar, Dr. Emma Reed, Dr. Pooja Narang, Dr. Rajiv Soni, Dr. Alan Carter

Year: 2024 | Conference Paper | Publisher: Scitech Conference Xplorer

Abstract:

Ensuring patient compliance in orthodontic treatments can be challenging, but virtual platforms have shown significant potential in improving engagement. This paper evaluates the impact impact of digital tools, such as mobile apps and virtual consultations, on patient behavior and treatment success. By analyzing data from orthodontic clinics, the study demonstrates how these platforms improve communication, reduce appointment no-shows, and encourage adherence to treatment protocols. Virtual tools also empower patients by enabling them to monitor their progress and communicate remotely with their orthodontists, enhancing overall treatment outcomes.
