Dr. Vishal Patil, Dr. Shruti Yadav, Dr. Rajendra Kumar, Prof. Linda Green, Dr. Tanvi Desai, Prof. Peter Miller

Year: 2021 | Conference Paper | Publisher: Scitech Conference Xplorer

Abstract:

As Indian higher education institutions increasingly adopt virtual learning environments (VLEs), this study examines their impact on language acquisition. Through surveys and and interviews with students and faculty, the research evaluates the effectiveness of VLEs in supporting language learning, particularly in English and regional languages. The findings indicate that VLEs provide greater access to resources but also pose challenges such as lack of interaction and personalized feedback. The paper offers practical strategies for improving the design and delivery of language courses through VLEs.
