Dr. Aditi Sharma, Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Dr. Maria Gonzalez, Dr. Shyam Reddy, Dr. Neha Joshi, Dr. Joseph Lee

Year: 2021 | Conference Paper | Publisher: Scitech Conference Xplorer

Abstract:

The COVID-19 pandemic has drastically altered healthcare systems, with a significant impact on oral health. This study explores the increased prevalence of dental diseases, the impact of lockdowns lockdowns on dental practices, and changes in patient behavior. Through a survey-based approach, we identified a rise in cases of tooth decay, gum diseases, and delayed treatment. We also assessed how tele-dentistry has been adopted in providing consultations. Results indicate a substantial shift in patient priorities, and we discuss strategies to mitigate the long-term effects of pandemic-related disruptions on oral health.

Year: 2021 | Conference Paper | Publisher: Scitech Conference Xplorer

Abstract:

The integration of digital tools in dentistry has revolutionized patient care, from diagnosis to treatment planning. This paper explores the role of digital imaging, CAD/CAM technology, and 3D printing in improving dental outcomes. Through an extensive review of case studies, we examine how these innovations have streamlined processes, reduced errors, and increased patient satisfaction. Additionally, we discuss the learning curve for dental professionals adopting these technologies and the potential barriers to their widespread implementation in both urban and rural settings.

The Effects of Lifestyle Changes on Oral Health: A Longitudinal Study

Dr. Pooja Joshi, Dr. Virendra Gupta, Dr. Rajiv Kumar, Dr. Stephanie Davis, Dr. Ramesh Agarwal, Dr. Helen Clark

Year: 2021 | Conference Paper | Publisher: Scitech Conference Xplorer

Abstract:

Lifestyle factors, including diet, smoking, and stress, significantly influence oral health. This study analyzes the correlation between changing lifestyles and the onset of dental conditions. . By following a cohort of patients over one year, we identify key patterns such as increased consumption of sugary snacks, reduced physical activity, and heightened stress leading to oral health issues such as gum disease and tooth decay. Our findings suggest that personalized oral health strategies are essential to mitigate these risk factors, emphasizing the importance of lifestyle interventions in dental care.

Assessing the Effectiveness of Fluoride Varnishes in Preventing Dental Caries in Children

Dr. Tanvi Sharma, Dr. Ajay Patil, Dr. Karan Choudhary, Dr. Jennifer Wallace, Dr. Sonali Gupta, Dr. Brian O’Connor

Year: 2021 | Conference Paper | Publisher: Scitech Conference Xplorer

Abstract:

Fluoride varnishes have long been used in the prevention of dental caries, particularly in pediatric dentistry. This paper assesses the efficacy of fluoride varnishes in children, with data collected from multiple dental clinics. By reviewing clinical trials, we evaluate the impact of fluoride treatments on the incidence of cavities, enamel remineralization, and overall oral health in young patients. The findings suggest that fluoride varnishes remain a cost-effective and highly beneficial tool for preventing dental decay, though recommendations for improved application protocols are provided.

Dr. Shweta Bansal, Dr. Harshit Verma, Dr. Chloe Williams, Dr. Amit Jain, Dr. Nisha Rani, Dr. John Roberts

Year: 2021 | Conference Paper | Publisher: Scitech Conference Xplorer

Abstract:

Social media has become a dominant force in shaping the behaviors and attitudes of adolescents, including their oral health habits. This paper examines how social media influences dental care practices, including the promotion of products, diet trends, and health information. A survey of adolescents reveals a strong correlation between online content and oral hygiene routines, with both positive and negative effects. The study suggests that dental professionals need to leverage social media for educational campaigns while addressing the spread of misinformation.
